The Intersport group
The INTERSPORT Group is the world’s largest organisation operating in retail sales of sports goods. There are more than 5000 stores in 30 countries of the world operated under this name, that achieve total annual revenues exceeding EUR 8.6 billion. More than 80% of the income of the INTERSPORT Group is generated on the European market (including Russia) which gives a 17% share in that market.
The INTERSPORT Group consists of organisations that: (1) carry on business activities at their own risk, (2) use the INTERSPORT trade mark and own brands of INTERSPORT, (3) place joint purchase orders and (4) implement a shared model of business operations described in uniform international standards.
In 2006, the INTERSPORT Group celebrated the 50th anniversary of its business operations.
