The offer and products

A Rich Range of Products

All stores of INTERSPORT Polska S.A. offer a complete range of sports goods, for about 40 types of sports activities, giving the customer the opportunity to choose from among products of at least three manufacturers priced at several levels. Additionally, the range of products has been enriched with own brands of INTERSPORT. The stores offer specialist sports products and general sports goods.

The offered range of products is principally based on the main four brand groups:

STRATEGIC BRANDS – e.g. Adidas, Nike, Salomon, Reebok, Puma, Atomic, Rossignol, Speedo, Wilson, Nordica, Rollerblade, Asics, Head and the special offers under these brands. SPECIAL OFFERS are models offered at the best possible prices, unavailable at mail-order companies, designed for the INTERSPORT Group and available on an exclusive basis in the stores of this chain. At present, INTERSPORT has the world’s largest selection of special offers, under the strategic brands mentioned above.

OWN BRANDS – 13 own INTERSPORT brands, introduced in stages since 2006, for various types of sports activities:

  • McKinley – specialist clothing, footwear and equipment for tourists, designed to protect body against wind and rain (outdoor clothing). A brand for people who travel in search for adventure; the range of products sold under the McKinley brand employs the most advanced technology, up-to-date solutions and design, to meet the expectation of the most demanding customers. McKinley is number one in Europe in the outdoor category.
  • Crazy Creek – this brand is ranked 3rd in Europe in snowboard (boards, shoes and accessories), and generally understood “wheeled sports” (e.g. roller skates) goods, as regards the volume of sales. The products offered under this brand are very functional on the one hand, and designed to the newest fashion trends, on the other hand.
  • Etirel – is one of the best recognised clothing brands in the portfolio of own brands of INTERSPORT. The apparels offered under this brand are functional, manufactured with practical purposes in mind, and attract with very affordable prices. They are designed so as to provide sports clothing for the whole family, both the children and the adult people.
  • Pro Touch – functional quality products for team games; 6 models of footballs have been approved as meeting the FIFA criteria. Pro Touch is also represented in the FIFA committee that develops standards for footballs.
  • Energetics – rehabilitation and fitness equipment, ensuring excellent exercise conditions and comfort due to the most advanced technology and construction.
  • Firefly – roller skates, snowboard, free-ride skiing and surfing; a brand designed for young, physically active customers aged 12-20. This is a key offer to attract the young generation of INTERSPORT’S customers.
  • Nakamura – bicycles, cyclist clothing and footwear; quality products manufactured with the use of the newest technologies, offered at affordable prices.
  • Tecno Pro – offers a range of products for people practising winter sports (skis, clothing, skier accessories) and water sports, table tennis, tennis, squash and badminton. The collections employ the newest technology and trends in fashion.

COMPLEMENTARY FOREIGN BRANDS – e.g.: The North Face, Descente, Spyder, Phenix, Killy, Tenson, Colmar, Iguana, Killtec, Columbia, Fischer, Völkl, K2, Blizzard, Burton, Trek, Giant, Babolat, Dunlop, Arena, Kettler, HiTec, Ecco.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICE

Depending on the season, INTERSPORT Polska S.A. provides ski, bicycle or tennis services.
Ski services – provided using up-to-date, fully automated and efficient machines for the restoration of sliding surfaces, manufactured by Montana and Wintersteiger, facilitating completion of up to 6 orders per hour which gives the customer an additional comfort.

The services are completed within a dozen of minutes, and the customers can watch their skis and the operation of the machine through a glass wall. Once the service is completed (the structure restored), there is no difference in the sliding surfaces between new and used skis. The equipment is installed in the Zakopianka Shopping Centre in Kraków, the Borek Shopping Centre in Wrocław, the Arkadia Shopping Centre in Warsaw, the Sfera Shopping Centre in Bielsko-Biała, and in the Silesia Shopping Centre in Katowice; it will be installed in stages in all large stores of INTERSPORT.

Bicycle, tennis services – bicycle services are offered in the summer season (warranty and post-warranty maintenance, replacement of bicycle components, including user’s comfort improvements) and tennis services offering the replacement of strings and stretching of racket strings with the use of specialist equipment manufactured by Babolat or Pro Spro.

The Concept of A FLAGSHIP STORE

Each of the stores of INTERSPORT Polska S.A. is designed in accordance with the concept of a flagship store developed by the Company, taking into account the best experience of the INTERSPORT Group, which results in a uniform appearance and the high customer’s comfort all over the country.

Situation – “the best shopping centre” in the city which means a centre with at least 30,000 m2 of sales area, including a large mall with at least 80 shops, cinema multiplexes, and entertainment centres, where a hypermarket is operated merely to make the shopping offer complete.

Store area – from 500 to 1,500 m2 which facilitates the presentation of a comprehensive range of branded sports goods and apparels.

Uniform design – a uniform design of the stores, adapted to the design concept of more than 4,800 stores of INTERSPORT worldwide, with consideration of the Company’s own experience.

Displaying of goods – the store changes with the seasons of the year. The floor of the interior space resembles a sports ground, the customer is guided along a distinct route through all the thematic areas and brand exhibitions. The careful arrangement of goods in thematic series with complementary offers enables the customer to complete the full necessary equipment. Signs installed along the route advise the customer of promotional, marketing and other actions.

Promotion and marketing – the Company has implemented a carefully developed programme to strengthen the image of the INTERSPORT brand in Poland, and has organised numerous promotional campaigns to promote the sales of individual goods categories, has issued numerous catalogues, and operates a web site www.intersport.pl
