Result for Q3 comparable on y/y basis,

The INTERSPORT Polska S.A. network in the third quarter of 2016 gained total net revenue on sale of PLN 50,811 thousand, i.e. 4.6% lower than in the same period in the last year, when the Company gained the revenue of PLN 53,262 thousand. Despite lower than before revenue on sale, due to the lowering of the operational costs and the increase of the margin percentage, in the third quarter of 2016 the INTERSPORT Polska S.A. network generated gross loss of PLN 688 thousand, i.e. on the level comparable to the third quarter of 2015 (was: gross loss of PLN 647 thousand).

Increasingly, after three quarters of 2016 the INTERSPORT Polska S.A. Network gained a net revenue on sale of PLN 158,080 thousand, i.e. 3.9% lower as compared to the same period in 2015 (was: PLN 164,526 thousand), gross loss of PLN 1,144 thousand (was: gross profit of PLN 688 thousand), and EBIDTA of PLN 4,929 thousand (was: PLN 6,912 thousand).

On 19 October 2016 the Company launched a new INTERSPORT store of the area of 870 m2 located in the newly-opened, prestigious shopping center POSNANIA in Poznań. The expenses related to the opening of the new store were low due to the use, in part, of the furnishing from the stores closed in February 2016.

The Management Board of INTERSPORT Polska S.A. aiming at improving the margin, which, in its opinion, is not satisfactory, made preliminary arrangements with the INTERSPORT Group intended at changing the so-far purchase model in respect to the goods marked with the INTERSPORT private labels. This is intended to enable the Company, as soon as in the next year, to obtain higher margin on the sales of private labels and increase their share in total sales volume, therefore contributing to achieving significantly better business results.

It is worth mentioning that in the recent period the editorial offices of Biznes Trendy (The Rzeczpospolita daily) and Forum Biznesu (Dziennik Gazeta Prawna) carried out a consument survey evaluating the market position of the INTERSPORT brand, its strength, and the degree of the consumers’ confidence, resulting in the INTERSPORT network receiving a recognition and the title “Good Brand 2016” – Quality, Confidence, Reputation .
