Members

The composition of the Company’s Management Board is exceptionally stable. Its members have been holding their positions since 1989.

Each of them has enriched the Company with the passion to play sports and holds numerous sports licenses, such as yachtsman, windsurfer, skiing, and mountain climbing certificates, the fact that significantly contributes to accurate recognition of clients’ needs and expectations, assortment planning, and in effect the success of the business activities conducted.

 

The Company’s President, Artur Mikołajko,

since the establishment of the Company in 1988, has held the position of the President of the Management Board. A fan of skiing and sailing, he holds numerous certificates confirming his sports skills, including: Yacht Capitan Certificate of Polish Yachting and Powerboat Association, Motorboat Captain License of Polish Powerboat Association, skiing instructor license of Polish Skiing Association, scoutmaster rank of Polish Scouting Association, and P1 CMAS diver license. In 2009, as Captain, he commanded a sailing cruise around Cape Horn.

 Professional career:

• 1988 – Krakow-Podgórze Borough Council, Rynek Podgórski 1, inspector for environmental protection, Urząd Dzielnicowy Kraków-Podgórze, Rynek Podgórski 1, inspektor ochrony środowiska,
• 1985 - 1993 – Head of „Shanties” – Polish Festival of Sea Songs, Dyrektor Ogólnopolskiego Festiwalu Piosenki Żeglarskiej „Shanties”,
• since 1992 – Member of the Council of Founders of Krakow Sailing, Sports, and Tourism Foundation „Hals” Członek Rady Fundatorów Krakowskiej Fundacji Żeglarstwa, Sportu, Turystyki „Hals”
• 1998 – XII 2005 Outdoor Sports sp. z o.o., Vice-President of the Management Board
• since 1988 - INTERSPORT Polska S.A. (formerly Przedsiębiorstwo Usługowe MAKS S.A.), President of the Management Board.

Vice-President of the Management Board, Mr. Sławomir Gil,

has hold this position since 1988. He is a great fan of mountaineering and extreme sports. He participated in climbing expeditions to Kilimanjaro and Mount Blanc and Via Ferrate in the Dolomites. Formal qualifications Mr. Gil possesses in sports disciplines (yachting and skiing certificates and tourist licenses) are very helpful in managing a young team of employees.
